This was one of the first Whitesnake TV appearances ever. You can see that it was first line up of WS without Jon Lord (who came later).

David Coverdale - Vocals
Micky Moody - Guitar
Bernie Marsden - Guitar
Neil Murray - Bass
Pete Solley - Keyboards
Dave Dowle - Drums

  • Who is on drums ? Not Cozy nor Ian ?

  • @titustiti

It was Dave Dowle on the drums. He played on the first three Whitesnake lp's including Love Hunter. Paice came at the beginning of the Love Hunter Tour

  • @Gillanfan89 not the first three, only the first two, Trouble and Lovehunter

  • @Bananenbennie

I always include Snakebite as their first LP, i know it was an EP, but in my mind it always pops out as a Whitesnake debut

  • @Gillanfan89 allright, lets put it this way, Dave Dowle was on the first 3 RELEASES :)

  • @Bananenbennie

    Spot on :)

  • I love the Whitesnake early years. One of the best ones.

  • I still cant figure out the reason why fan's try to compare David Coverdale to

Robert Plant ? Ian Gillan or Paul Rodgers or Freddie Mercury or Phil Mogg or Roger Daltrey just because a singer can sing in a higher range does'nt mean a damn thing their is no comparisn between any of these singers at all. they are all rock and roll singers with their own styles and thats why they all have had long careers back in early rock all the singers tried to sound like elvis and buddy..

  • Wow-I didnt know Whitesnake was around in 78! I thought the HairBand days spawned them!

  • Fucking love this early days stuff, shit's on the 1987 crap. Don't know if this is a TOTP's vid though!

  • do you wanna bless someone ? put your kids to listen to this

  • @MrSmokeydog absolutely and if Dave sounds like someone it's ray charles , i mean he's got that soul groovy thing in his voice - sounds almost like a black guy , something Plant is light years away..
