A comment to the attention of the person who posted this video: this DOC tv show dates from March 24, 1988. So you were right about the year ;-)
This show was recorded when Tuxedomoon were on their "Reunion tour" that brought them around the world (including Japan) in 1987-88. You'll find lots of details about this in the 476-page book I published last year about Tuxedomoon and entitled "Music For Vagabonds - The Tuxedomoon Chronicles"

breaks my heart that this band, one of my favorites, had to go to europe to get this kind of attention. I was a froshmen in high school when I discovered them in 1981 when I was buying everything from ralph records.
