The Lord sends comfort to our weary souls through these humble old reed organs. Almost brings tears to my eyes everytime I hear that beautiful sound!

Sounds fantastic, and great skills to boot :)
I was wondering, how did you bring the Casework up so nice again? Im restoring an Apollo at the moment

@rodneyjantzi Ah-ha..................so my instinct was correct. Sounded much too well to be without. My Clough and Warren (still under restoration) has the "Scribner" with lables. One on one of the 2 Qualifying tubes, and the other on the back of the Windchest. Black lable with some sort of gold lettering. I "think" my reed pan may be large? One complete sets of reeds in the front row of 4', bottom 1/2 a 2' and top 1/2 8' vox Celeste. Back set = 1 complete set of 8' and the 1/2 set of 16' +4'.

You should restore many more reed organs. You have a God given talent of craftmenship, And superb playing!

Very nice! One of my very favorite hymns. Glad you posted this. Perfect tempo and nice playing.

Great model; I'm impressed by the air system. The circuit seems fine. And it has no 'old reed' sound at all. Congratulations ! I loved the piece a lot also :)
Have a nice Christmas !

Hallo again, Rodney. So it was worth restoring, wasn't it? Good old Karn: they built some good instruments with a wonderful sound. By the way, Chichester is a city, not a village! It's got its own cathedral to prove it!

Beautiful mellow sound!! What a rewarding experience to hear the result of all those hours of restoration. You deserve to be pleased and proud of this refurbished Karn organ. I'm sure the gentleman who was the previous owner will want it back after hearing it!!
Did Karn use Qualifying Tubes? Sounds so full and mellow I would almost expect such. Beautiful playing! :-)

@Musique3579 - Thanks! This particular Karn does have qualifying tubes, identical to the Scribner qualifying tubes, but without the patent label. The reed pan is rather large too, which I believe changes the sound.
