I'm a bit afraid that the remap of the buttons will not suits me. On any logitech you can assign ANY buttons (yes, even the DPI ones with a little trick) to ANYTHING (a script,a program, a key...) and depending on the program running upfront! I've tried many "gamer" mouse, and usually you can't remap the dpi buttons or depending on the program running. My perfect mouse would be :
- ceramic pad
- 5-7 buttons remapable
- pinky rest !

@tv321123 meh doesnt matter, my avia is still faster at 6600 dpi. but who ever uses that speed? i dont. i have my dpi set at 2400 right now

@sparky1570784 thats 5600 dpi the rat 7/9 launched with 5600 but the new version of the rat 7 have 6400 dpi

I've read many complaints about this mouse and it's laser having many tracing issues as well as the mouse just breaking after no time at all. Would you say you've had any problems at all or has it had stellar performance? Just been looking around for a new mouse to go along with my new gaming pc and these have been drawing my attention but I'm still a bit hesitant to pull the trigger on something with so many poor reviews.

I have a lachesis 5600 dpi, and it looks epic, but not as hybridish (is that a word?) than the rat 7 which i really like. The performance is similar though, and it has 9 buttons as well.
