In a July 22nd dated letter, personalized for Markzware (Good to see them using VDP or Variable Data Printing in real life!), we received a nice gift from XEORX; a handy and very useful book titled, "Prepress for Digital Printing" - An introduction to prepress methods for the digital age. By John C. Clem and Wade J. Link with a forward from Peter I. Muir, well know for his preflighting books, amongst other editorially accomplishments.

This book goes into many details about file delivery for your digital press and is great not only for print-shops but for your customers too have too, as to how and what to send to you, the printer. There is a lot on prelfight and it mentions FlightCheck Professional quite a bit. For sure, these quality assurance tips will help the output on your iGen or XEROX DocuColor. For more tips on how to better profit and operate your kit, see the XEROX ProfitAccelerator:

Thus, I start this film with a little flashback to an old, 1996 FlighCheck, "Why Fight It, Preflight it" t-Shirt from Markzware! Enjoy and comments are welcomed!

  • I think I have that same book. My version is not bound the same way though. I use FlightCheck everyday in my Preflight department at work. You guys made some very helpful software! Thank you so much.

  • Your welcome and thank you for the comment djrock9000 and for using FlightCheck Professional. A new version will be out any day now with Quark 8 and InDesign CS4 support...
