This is the theme from the English version of the TV show. The English producers didn't want to use the same theme music as another US show (Lone Ranger). The US version is also on You Tube (and that's the version I remember watching the show in Brooklyn, NY).
Does the DVD come with a free crossbow?

@domtierno
Its a shame they didn't use this version then-its right that the William Tell Overture should be used to portray William Tell-and not the Lone Ranger

@ferociousgumby you are very right. This is NOT the theme I remember at all...."marching behind william tell...you must fight to be free..."

This isn't the theme song I rememeber. It was sung by a male chorus and went, "Free, we will fight to be free. . ."

I love the lyrics of this song and the ole tv series intro/ending - such a grand adventure! Conrad Phillips was great.
Thanks for sharing the entire theme song and pics with the You Tube world!

@percentum4 ---David Whitfield was it? I often wondered. It was a cut above the usual theme music. Didnt sing the Robin Hood theme as well did he?

This is not a TV intro, it's a "theme song".
