He was undoubtedly the most admired, feared and photographed elephant of bandipur. My favorite guy.He had a single tusk and always used to patrol the roads. He was popularly known as ''Highway patrol'', ''Ontikombu'' - meaning single tusk etc. Aged about 35 to 40 he was a great thrill to watch.Unfortunately, He was a victim of mankind's greed.poachers have shot him dead near the gopalswamy hills and have taken away the only tusk he had.As a homage to him and many such elephants we have lost, i present my collection of videos of this gracefull gaint. These animals need our sympathy but, more importantly, they need our proactive support in every way we can to ensure their survival. Please introspect as to in what way you can be of help ,be it direct or indirect in ensuring that such unfortunate incidents do not continue. Things can change only when we belive that ''WE ARE A PART OF THE PROBLEM IF WE ARE NOT A PART OF THE SOLUTION'' and act accordingly.Thank you.
