The idea for this video really came from the song in it. You may think the idea is silly, but it dawned on me that many of the ideals that the late great figures like Dr. Martin Luther King, Robert Kennedy and John Lennon spoke out about and died for, may just live on the communities we have built here on the Internet.

Communities where we reach people from all over the world. It is amazing to think I have made friends in countries I have never even been to in my life yet. It makes me want to go to those places even more.

That maybe through this "information highway" we have reached beyond the barriers we have in our normal everyday lives, and in someways touch another human beings. It pushes us to think past our land borders, now if everyone here could push past some of their mental borders.

Because the other idea here is a reaction to the people who have attacked other users for being who they are, whatever those differences may be. Our differences is what makes the world interesting, if we were all the same, think how boring life would be.

I could not get everyone on here in this video, sorry for those users who I have yet to discover, but thanks to all the users I did use in it.

  • i think this video is a dishonor to the late martin luther king,

you should be ashamed of you,re self

  • Just how is that?

Does not Dr. King, in this very clip state he dreams of a day when people will be judge by the content of their minds, not the color of their skin? What we have here is a beautiful example of just that. People of all backgrounds, all creeds, color, orientations, age etc., sharing their thoughts, emotions and lives with one another. Breaking the barriers of bias and even locale, it is sites just like this that are helping us build a world community.

  • hate this

  • Well...sorry for that, but thanks for the comment anyway.

  • Uhh, this was really stupid. I'm sorry, but juxtaposing Martin Luther King Jr. with a guy chugging mentos with coke is idiotic. I think this sort of clearly states how accelerated our state of decline is. I'm sure John Lenin would look at youtube and puke at all the ridiculous self promoting concieted and tawdry shit that gets put on here. Kudos to people getting themselves out there for what they think is cool, but you're mixing progressive history with a video version of myspace.

  • Hi Totty, thanks for the comment...I am sorry the ideas of it were lost on you.

  • I am going to comment this video just so that it has a comment posted within the last year

  • does anyone know what "democracy" means? It means a government ruled by the people. RON PAUL wants to restore the people's power, unlike obama.

  • You're kidding, right? I bet Lennon would so totally have had a YouTube channel. And a MySpace

what a dumb ass person...like totally dude..and the lamest video on all of You Tube...

  • yeah had to watch it again i love that i was included

  • I don't see clearly what has Marthin Luther King and John Lennon to do with this video, actually i don't see this video as anything different than a tribute to some bloggers, which isn't bad at all.

  • You're kidding, right? I bet Lennon would so totally have had a YouTube channel. And a MySpace.

Great idea, ered. I've remembered all over again why I love this place.
