  • Nat was an incredible jazz pianist and only after the fact was he uncovered a beautiful voice. He was the first black man to have his own show on TV. And it was a 15 minute spot in prime time during the 50"s. Nat was truley an inspiration and a trailblazer in the entertainment industry. Unfortunatly he was a heavy smoker which gave him that beautiful voice but died of lung cancer. He is still sorley missed. Rich Green

  • @Gemini730 I love the way he thinks about the expression of every single word, & cherishes every one. His diction is flawless. He tells the story & conveys the sentiment beyond merely singing the melody. He never simply keeps time, he pauses, he anticipates ahead of the beat. He sculpts & shapes the phrases. & somehow he makes it all so intimate, as if its only for you personally.

  • very cool : )
