GRITS Labor Day Ride 2008, AL/GA line to Rockmart

This shows views of the eastbound part of the GRITS Labor Day ride, including the final link in this trail. That section of concrete had been placed only a few days before. Landscaping and signs have since been added. The ride event helps raise funds for maintaining the sections of the Silver Comet Trail in Polk County, GA.

Thanks! I had fun riding that section, despite the hills and curves.

Sure enough, most of the landscaping , signs and paint markings were in place on the new section when I rode it later in the month to reach the completion ceremony at the state line.
