I like Valdes the most, mainly because there seems to be more English speakers than the PvP server. However, I haven't played it on Lintra. You do lose EXP, but not all that much. When you kill a monster, you of course get your EXP, then a box will drop on the ground. You click the box to see the items in it. Such as potions to heal your health and MP, equipment, and upgrade items to make your equipment stronger, as well as lant (the in game currency).
