Cool hack.... i'm slightly confused though... does the BS2 communicate to the server which communicates to the beta bright or is it a different connection and the server only connects to twitter for the BS2?

Queston for the poster: If you went to all the trouble to modify your washer, why didn't you take it one step farther by bypassing the dial & go with a all digital interface?

it wasn't much trouble, but adding a digital display does nothing to solve my problem. I wasn't really setting out to improve the washer. Just sort of play around with electronics and do something useful. (to me anyway)

yeah i started with arduino lol :P but in my school i tested the basic stamp its suck its too slow the Atmega328(included in the arduino board ) is 1000 faster

and the basic stamp is too expensive

if someone want to entry in the world of microcontroller is a arduino awesome

BASIC STAMP sucks its too expensive and its not so much worth as its costs!
