Hi am a 16 year old looking to get his first car. I really really want t get a Dodge Charger. Now I live in New York and as most of you know you cant really speed when the NYPD is right behind you LOL. Am very excited and I really want one. Is there a reconmadation for what year to get? especialy for me ? It has to be good on gas and under $27,000. (used car of course) please someone tell me I want to drive auto mattic as wel. Please help thank you. I also want to have the best alarm for it.

Charger is a good car we have had it for 3 years and no problems. It is a heavy car and depending on your driving style will determine your gas consumption. (Note at age 16 you shouldn't be driving to erratic insurance is going to be very expensive even if you buy a station wagon.) Living in New York maybe the AWD will be good for winter time and that trim only comes with the 5.7 Liter Hemi so be careful..

Congrats for the new ride, looks awesome. Am thinking of getting one of those soon. I have a 2000 ex-police impala with 160,000 miles now, about time to replace!

My financial situation is bette than it was on 2004 when I got my imp so the charger wont be a police one and no high milage :D

Any advice about what to look for? engine sizes? options? common problems/issues with each engine size?

@ZurnaWdahol Well if you want a car with some muscle the R/T 5.7L is a good engine and it does have the multi displacement engine it will kick off 4 cylinders at idiol speed getting alright gas mileage. The SRT-8 6.1L is a bad boy with alot torque and horsepower your going to pay $2,000.00 extra for a gas guzler tax and it doesn't have the multi displacement engine the gas mileage is about 18 mpg at best. .

@infinity3jif i agree the body still on the 2011 is more round and the face of the charger mimics the mitsubishi styles that came out. i havea 07 dodge charger that i still enjoy driving. but agree

Should have spent a couple thousand more and gotten a Srt8 .. R/T's are weak , too much weight for that small 5.7

finally a simple looking charger....but still a beast....chargers look better when kept simple....i hate those who put crazy ass dubs on these cars and stupid blue,yellow,violet colors...lol...nice car bro
