Porhtleven Feb 6th 2010, the waves were a mackin, and frog man shot the tube cowabunga style.
Me and Rambo ate cakes and took in the view.

@15wingate But why would you compare a UK wave to Mavericks, the continental shelf takes so much power out of the atlantic swell it's a crazy comparrisson. Also, this is South Cornwall which picks up much less swell than the north, it tends to hit the tip of Cornwall and go up the Bristol channel rather than up the English channel. When this spot gets the right conditions it is an awesome wave. Ireland is a different story and has much bigger waves same story with contintenal shelf

this wave is nice , but it is not even close to Mavericks; this is 6-8ft . triple it , thats Mavericks , Half Moon Bay is a nice little town just North of Santa Cruz ; surfing since I was 14 ; 1969 Im 56 and still get out ther from time to time .

I been surfing since 74 I'm 51 and this footage is epic. You all have more balls than me. Personally I don't like anything bigger than a telephone box.
