@TheWhiteydog Who cares? Do you buy a set and sell it in a year? If so, you are probably spending mommy and daddy's money. I don't spend a grand or so on some shells and then bitch a few months later when I can only get 400 out of them. You, sir, are retarded.

I don't understand why it seems the only thing people ever say bad about Taye drums is the resale value. I don't buy a drum set with the intent of selling it! I don't give a shit if I could only get 5 dollars out of it so long as it sounds excellent whilst I play it. What a lame reason to knock a good sounding and affordable set. Fan boys should die!!!!!

@TheWhiteydog tama is more drums for rock and metal and stuff like that...taye does it all! i have a taye rock pro kit and it sounds great for everything! poor resale value? shows what you know on the subject!

I'm a session drummer here in Nashville Tn. I've played and tracked with every drum you could possibly imagine, including the Tayes. I have to admit that when I bring all my drum stash to the studios, the producers pick the Tayes to track with 9 times out of 10 based on the tone and tracking ability. Their kick drums are now legendary here in recording world. Killer stuff, whether you're on a budget or not!!

how much was it

@rockstarhonda Yes, it would blow a piece of shit tama away in the studio. To be honest, Taye's aren't that good. The fact that it's a maple kit might be the reason why it sounds so good. Tama maple kits sound just about the same as this Taye.

@TheWhiteydog ive owned 2 of tama and 3 of tayes, you have absolutley no idea about what your saying besides the re-sale comment, if you buy a taye kit you wont want to sell it anyways youll just play it so much youll need a new one BOOYAH SKANK

I own the same set and just love it.
And by the way any taye will blow any piece of shit tama away in the studio and at the gig! plus if u have seen the price of these sets you'll now that the resell is extemley good.

Definitely Tama over a Taye set ANYDAY. You buy a new Taye set and they're practically worth NOTHING in one year!! Very poor resale value, and the drums aren't that great anyway.
ya what snare is that??
