Wartime Gibson LG2 with the Banner Headstock. A stunning survivor and lively player. Spruce top, mahogany back and sides and X braced with a 24 3/4" scale. FON indicates one of the last batch of banners made featuring a single piece solid mahogany neck with adjustable truss rod, mahogany blocks and a spruce top. Original finish with no over-spray and crack free with some minor battle scratches but all there sans a better than original authentic replica bridge fashioned from old growth rosewood with a new bone saddle. All original tuners, bone nut, frets and a divot free Brazilian rosewood fretboard. The impeccable luthier work was performed by David Hatchard which also includes a neck reset and professional set up with 3-2 action and proper string break over the saddle. This guitar has been out of circulation for some years and is very tight with a sweet voice. These are fabulous guitars for finger style and flat picking and strumming either on stage or in the studio. Great sustain and louder than hell! New well fitting hard shell case. Special thanks to Bob Halperin of Portsmouth New Hampshire for fine Vintage Licks!

  • I honestly can't even describe how epic the combination of your playing, and the tone of the little LG2 is! great job on the video, and thanks for keeping this little beauty singing like it should.
