@acesxclaw because pop warner youth group volunteers are not football coaches. even if they win state with this play most of these kids wont even play high school football. and no matter how many state titles a pw coach wins it will not help him get a paying job as a football coach.

Why would he instruct a bunch of pre-pubescent high-pitched 11 year olds to use such a shady play? Seems desperate.

this is legal. the center is aloud to hike the ball however the qb likes it. even if you have to turn around and give it to him. its considered a hike. and pretty much you can do whatever you want with the ball as long as the qb touches it right after the center does. also, it is legal in college and pro its just that the teams are too smart to fall for something like that.

I have been a football official for 25 years and thus have to know the Rules inside out. Trust me when I tell you this play is indeed illegal. Sadly that officiating crew messed up in not flagging it and I'm sure their more experienced colleagues will have had words with them to ensure they won't mess it up again.
High School Rules, it is illegal - Rule 9-6-4-d.
College Rules, it is illegal - Rule 9-2-2 example AR 9-2-2-VII

People do it all the time... but it usialy donest happen liek that it is a legal Snap... the center gave hi mthe ball but none of the Defenders did anything...
Also in Collage they do it as a long snap the QB walks to the Side lines and all the defenders ussaly get up and start to walk away and Blam hike ot RB and run away TD i have seen this happen a few times
