  • that was a redtail hawk not a golden eagle lols (ima nerd )

  • the redtail never showed till the third movie the first one it was a golden eagle. if you don't know look at the size difference when he hold the eagle in the movie.

  • the eagle rescues the kid...then brings him to her nest to feed her little eaglets. the kid looks tasty and will provide food for the eagle family for weeks to come... THE END

  • That's a wedge-tailed eagle in my opinion (take a look at the tail at 0:16).

  • @Canadadry7 yes i defo agree ;)

  • This bird is a wedge tailed eagle. I went for pickforton castle to fly birds of prey and i asked the falconer if he'd seen the film 'beastmaster' as i have always wanted to know what kind of bird it was. He said he had seen the film and that the bird belonged to his friend and last he knew the bird was given away by his friend to steve irwins zoo in australia. I found a pic of a wedge tailed eagle online and the markings underneath are identical. Loved this film since i was a kid, great scene!

  • *humans throwing kid into the fire*

Eagle: "Wait! are they seriously going to throw that delicious kid in the fire?! Holy Shet! they are! Well might as well eat em if they don't want em." hahah

  • This is one of those movies that everybody loved and cherished except me...I thought it was stupid (no wonder it bombed). Movies that contain animal cruelty, children being thrown into fire, a story that's been reused 1000000s times before, and HORRIBLE acting always suck....

  • look what amiracle how god saves the kid

  • jajaja that scene was so great¡¡

  • @chickenkyle123- it most certainly was NOT a Red-tailed Hawk, it had 2 white patches on the underwing indicative of a juvenile Golden Eagle- plus it was feathered to the toes...

@LordBicen- condors can't pick up crap- their feet aren't made for gripping.

Ok, I've said my piece- couldn't help myself.

  • More importantly, check out a young Tanya Roberts.
