  • guess what on june 3rd 2009 the mbta has ordered New Flyer for 25 DE60LFR diesel hybrid articulated buses. These buses are expected to be delivered

in summer 2010, and will be assigned to Southampton Garage.

This will allow Southampton Garage to take over operation of

  • Yes, I am fully aware of this. This order will be a tack-on to ABQ RIDE's recent purchase of the same buses. The MBTA board approved of the contract in July, not June. I am interested in learning which route(s) these buses will be assigned to since Route 28X is slated to be completed in 2012.

  • we wouldn't have had the new flyers if it wasn't for some of the tmc/nova rts retiring from service.

  • Yes, the RTS's overhauled by Everett shops were in pretty rough shape by the time they were retired.

  • nice

  • I've been on the 2010 new flyer buses three times this month on the 28. The buses are totally amazing. The ride is always smooth and there's more room to hold like 50-60 people than the NABIs.

  • i rode on one of the 800 series new flyers man do the got power i also caught a nova rts

  • Septa New Flyers have the same engine: Cummins ISL with Allison B400R. But the whine is different.
