Actually it is a very lively place! Multiple full honor burials every day all day long - riderless horse, Cassion w/casket, bugle, 21 gun salute, etc. etc. I could see repair work on Pentagon after 9/11 from where my father is buried. There's continuous activity at the Tomb of Unk Soldier and special events every holiday! People from all walks of life and nations wander the cemetery. Pick your own hero buried there. Go pay homage & forget the butcake humor.

Listen, douchebag. I'm not incapable of understanding anything, other than how you could possibly be so ignorant as to not understand I was fucking with you, and anyone else who watched this video. I made a joke about the cemetery not being too lively a place; in the process, it seems I've offended you, a guy with an asshole so puckered up it's given you the impression that TisbearA, someone intelligent enough to know I was joking, likes you enough to be your only friend.

Arlington may not interest you, that's fine, but denying it has a history is nonsensical. Like TisbearA said, everything has a history, whether it's relevant or not is subjective. Again, the answer to your question "why would anyone make a documentary on the history...? Because it has a history. Why are you incapable of understanding this?

I have been told that I can be buried in Arlington. I have been told that my dead body may go to the Crem.

@dopplesoldners: History, by definition, is not in reference to what happened "lately." In addition, your simplification left many holes in the story. From the initial acquisition of the land to the personal struggles and legal controversy of getting the "dead people" in their final resting place, there is a lot more to be covered.
Everything has a history. Whether or not you are particularly interested is your own prerogative.
(Sorry for the separate posts btw.)

@dopplesoldners: Arlington has a history because it is the resting place for veterans from as far back as the Civil War. For me, the fact that it does contain so many "dead people" means that it also harbors a wide array of life stories, many of which came to an abrupt end in defense of something they died to protect (a set of principles at the very least). Perhaps that is the point here.
