  • @Garganchitha I think you would be way out of your league to debate this with me. The unfortunate dilema MSHA face at the moment seems to be the integrity of statistics/sample/results. They see Mining companies as being too coorupt. It seems MSHA wish to adopt our systems, and hopefully improve American coalminers safety. Yes Australia have killed miners in the past, our last multiple fatality being Gretley in 1996. But come on, Sago 2006, Crandel Canyon, 2007, Upper Big Branch, 2010. Prick ;-D

  • @Garganchitha A word of advice to you-"It's better to be thought of as an idiot that to open your mouth and prove it". You obviously took the "burger flippin' job." American coalmines are nowhere near as safe as Australian coal mines. Our records over the past 20 years have improved beyond any other country. You do produce a lot of coal, but Australia exports 60% of the worlds coal. Perhaps that is why I have met with so many MSHA and Union representatives trying to adopt our legislation.

  • @dayne683 "poor managerial skills... arguement then sacking on the spot" how is that poor i have Seen that several times & yes I have been sacked on the spot. In most states employees can be fired for any or no reason. Nothing poor about management he violated the authority & was fired, nothing out of the norm." no safety glasses/ dust masks" i dont think you have to wear the mask, & they might not be required to have glasses on in all jobs in the mine. did factory not always glasses
