  • this yoga is not for watching! heh, u must practice hardly to achieve the correct way to apply it. it is very very ancient, as chn said, and the main point is the movemenent and the air exchange due to that movement. yep, here we do not breath, we move. oh, such extraordinary method. it's only mi opinion on yantra, talk to an instructor for a a better and clear explanation.

  • @iorekby its like learning to walk, then run. Once comfortable with the movements physically. mentally and emotionally it begins to smooth out and become more fluid and dynamic. Injury arises when one attempts to progress too quickly (some might say when the ego is too strong, grasping at the future instead of being in the moment). Warm regards, Tashi

  • I enjoy this yoga; it feels good on my body.

  • @iorekby This yoga is gentle enough for anyone to do; you won't hurt yourself. If you did power yoga you might hurt yourself but not with this. Few people have the patience for Iyengar; I have been in Iyengar classes & in three hours, have done three poses. This yoga is good.

I think learning a more gentler practice like Iyengar or Hatha is the best way to start. I've tried dynamic yoga styles before and have actually gotten injured jumping around quickly between postures. It's best to open up the body in a slow, gradual way first IMO and then you can move to a more dynamic flowing yoga.
