This is Serenity basically, only from a Maliver POV. Imho, Mal really cares about River and so I put together some quotes and scenes from the movie sorta as evidence to back up my love for this pairing. He brought her back, but he really couldn't explain why. He refused, strongly, to turn her over to the Operative among other things. The clips in between are like his memories of when he was with her. The clip with the numbers around it is a deleted scene. The quotes are NOT out of context. He's literally talking about River when he says "she" so I'm not messing with things...except for the last quote. I couldn't resist! Please don't hate. Much love!

I'm sorry... this is a great video, but the premise is just messed up. SHE'S 17, people. He's a grown man. This is twisted.... he cares about her, sure, but in the same paternal way he cares about Kaylee.

Freaking awesome vid. Maliver for the win! :D Never liked Mal/Inara, cause she has never been right for Mal in my opinion. :/ Whereas River is his perfect in every ways possible. ;)

@azrielofdarkness I agree, he sees his crew as family. He even says that to Simon when he offers hima home on his ship, youre my crew (meaning youre my family). Mal never leaves a man behind even if that man is a tiny scary crazy ninja lady.

Great video! In my opinion, though, while there does seem to be something between Mal and River, I see it more of a brother/sister, father/daughter thing.
I really enjoyed this though, great choice for background music!
