there happy, because when people come to the zoo, animals like to see people, its makes them happy. just like ur playing with him, he gets to do it everyday! they are very very happy animals! most of them were rescued and are thankful for that.

I think most of them are happy. The chief concern for animals is their own survival and the survival of their children. When caring zookeepers make sure that their needs are met they are satisfeid and happy. This is verifed by fact that these animals live longer than they do in the wild. Don't get me wrong, I am against animal cruelty also but I think the good zoos are a benefit to animals.

Good for you for understanding the value of zoos and for pointing out that many individual wild animals would not survive if there were no zoos to take them in.
I believe even animals born in zoos, who live their entire lives in zoos, are lucky in many ways.
When I see what Nature does to animals, I always wish I could gather them all up and protect and give them the loving care that most zoos do.

I hate Zoo's, I find it very depressing seeing these great animals imprisoned behind glass and walls their whole lives for no reason.
Try to imagine how they feel.
Most animals in zoo's are there only because they were rescued from the wild and could no longer survive on their own. It is a blessing both for the animal and in educating the public. The people who care for them are loving and compassionate people; I know because I worked at a zoo and every animal there was a rescue or taken from someone who kept it as a pet illegally. The animals love the interaction with people - it gives them something fun to do. Now, try to imagine a world without them...
