From an anthropological perspective I have to laugh my butt off. My family of Jack Mormon rednecks, from Montana and Utah, living in Alaska, sang songs just like this. I have awesome childhood memories surrounding this song and others. Thanks, CCD, for everything you're doing.

The cello player is Layla McCalla, a Haitian American virtuoso, adding solid bass lines and adding to the tremendous energy of the group. You can't help but laugh, cry and dance to this music.

The energy and raw talent of this group is infectious. Just saw them perform at the Grand Point North Festival in Burlington, VT, opening for Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. I really liked the lady playing the electric cello who joined the group. And Carolina's scat singing is awesome.
