  • Multiplication on abacus uses this rule of algebra "(a+b) * (c+d) = ac+ad+bc+bd".

    We must choose a and c from the tens and b and d from the ones. For example: 34*12=(30+4)*(10+2)=30*10+30*2­+4*10+4*2=300+60+40+8=408.

    Thank you very much for your good tutorial. I did not know anything about abacus and multiplications on it. And I am going to watch other videos about abacus to learn more!
