@okayhawaii This is the young, "Little" Jimmy Scott. His voice is a contralto due to Kallman's Syndrome, giving it that unique, powerful and haunting adrogynous quality. But even if you think the sound of the voice isn't like the older Jimmy Scott, how could fail to recognize that unique phrasing? It's rapturous.

Yes indeed, Jimmy Scott's tremendous talent- after six decades, still holds up
as a most Legendary Artist, and this song especially, so "Special to Mr. Scott-

I first heard Jimmy Scott on a PBS show. Had never heard of him until then. I own many of his CD's and cherish him as a national treasure. What a soulful voice...
