Recorded live at a charity event at the Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu, California on September 15, 1990.This event featured tennis talent and lots of great bands. On the bill with Kansas were Survivor,Saga, Lou Gramm, Mr.Big, Eddie Money, Kevin Cronin(REO), and the headliners Rush! Quite a lineup. The tickets were $100 which was a lot for then but well worth it considering who was on the bill and that it was for charity. Other musicians may have joined Alex Lifeson on stage with Kansas on this song.

The song was written by Kerry Livgren and appears on the 1976 album LEFTOVERTURE.

Steve Walsh - Vocals, Keyboards
Rich Williams - Guitar
Billy Greer - Bass, Vocals
Phil Ehart - Drums
Steve Morse - Guitars
Alex Lifeson - Guitars

  • WoW! That rocks! To be honest I didn't like the intro that much, but the verse is just as great as it could be! Thanks for the upload, Rick!

  • You're welcome Natalia. I think there were extra "guest musicians" singing on the intro I just don't know everybody that was involved!

  • Wow! 1990 I had not ventured into Malibu yet when I would move to Santa Monica in 1995. That has to be a very RARE time that SAGA ever played in the U.S. too. Kansas, Rush and Saga = World Implodes :p

  • And as always a great video, Rick. The best song of all time on an unbelievable concert just has to be awesome :-)

    Michael.

  • I remember when I first saw this short concert come up, my jaw dropped. As you know, Kansas from 1990 is like trying to find a quarter in a lake. Great concert, and I'm glad Steve Morse and the guests could join them.
