The second part of the Happy New Year episode of Wind In The Willows by Cosgrove Hall, 1987...

"The railway is about to destroy everything and Badger has given up. Toad has everyone, including Mole's cousin Auberon, over for New Year's Eve anyway so that he can perform his poems and play his bagpipe. The gathering is interrupted when the henchman arrives with awful news. The weasels were stealing a traction engine from the railway company and driving it through the Wild Wood when the ground underneath gave way and swallowed up the engine and the weasels. Rat insists that they go to the Wood to help, but when they get there there are no signs of life. The group returns to Toad Hall to find an old acquaintance waiting for them on the doorstep with an important message..."

  • @demonella Happy New Year..

  • "Never you mind hee hee hee!" I'd love to hear Mole and Weasel have a proper conversation, that would be an interesting combination indeed :P

  • In many episodes, the characters mentioned about the railway approaching, but in most episodes, the railway scenes don't make so much appearance, since in the original movie and some episode like 'Mercury of the Motorbicycle', 'Toad in Love' and "Hot Air"!

  • Wish I could find these newer episodes... Just could find season 1 and 2 so far.....[took me long enough to find them].

Well Iiiiiiiii Saaaay!!!!!! Blow and Bother.....lol

  • Between you or me, I'd say that the railway line is in fact a Great Western-based railway line. I remember it all it well when I was a lad.

  • At last - the final railway revelations!
