This song is for me. My ex-girl left me b/c the events of her life constantly changed her life style. She lost the reason to feel like she loves me.. & I held on so dearly & far and I finally lost it. I questioned her feelings & asked her how she feels. & I fought to change myself & her.. but it only forced us apart. I had dreams I couldn't live. I still feel guilty to have hurt her, & still loves her for keeping me as her friend when I hurt her with all the affection I've never gotten from her.

Don't become another you? You did very well. Instead of possibly ruining your relationship with this girl, or maybe even have her cheat on her boyfriend, you stood by and accepted what was.
