This video shows you how to make your video look more like a movie that you would see in the theater by adjusting the aspect ration and not distorting the video at all. This is called letterboxing. If you have any questions leave a comment below or private message me and I will do my best to respond. Remember to check out ComedyAllianz on youtube to view the video you saw in this video.

  • cant you just do:

layer-new-solid(make it black)-make a rectangular mask on top-duplicate that mask-and put the duplicate on the bottom?

  • @sinaieman Ya I guess you can, however that way would not only be more time consuming, but also it wouldn't be able to be an exact aspect ratio. This preset from video copilot lets u be able to choose the exact aspect ratio you want it to be at.

  • did u buy your version of after effects?

  • @guitarrecord101 Yes actually I did. I bought the CS5 production premium package with the student and teacher discount.

  • @MrComputeranswers How do you get the discount? What exactly do you send to Adobe to authenticate that you are a student??

  • @LBenderProductions I just filled out the application they gave to me and I had to email them a photo of my high school student ID and then it took like a day then they emailed me the serial.
