@vj2045 yo! I am only 18 years old living in the U.S. What you want me to do?? Go to China and do a movie? (need money). You expect me to do something about it? And I am!!!! I am learning about the history and culture about the Hmong. I am even doing a research paper for my English class. And I think that is good enough for my age at least. I will step it up here in the U.S.!!!

@kamichamamink It's made towards a Chinese audience which is why they are speaking Chinese and have Chinese actors. You can say it's the same way that they did Dragonball Evolution, it's was originally Japanese but when they adapted it, they used an American as the main character. Why? Because it's for an American audience. It suppose to appeal to them.

is this movie director Chinese? that explain why they are speaking in Mandarin Chinese and only have Chinese main actress/actors. At the United States, the movies is 100% Hmong directed and with Hmong actress/actors...

This is why I really appreciated Clint Eastwood when he did Letters From Iwo Jima, because he used the real language (Japanese) with subtitles. The same can also be said for Mel Gibson's Passion of the Christ and Apocalypto (I'm no fan of Mel Gibson, I'm just citing his use of the real language). I wish they would make more films in the real language to appreciate the native languages fully.

@vj2045 Hey, even though that Blood Drum/Vaj Hmoob movie was made by Chinese, I thought that it was really good. Oh and don't go saying that Hmong don't know about their history. We're not being ignorant, there are many who are willing to learn and want to learn our history. It's just that no one is willing to tell us! Hell, even my own parents don't tell me much about our Hmong history! I had to go search for it myself because of my own curiousity.
