West Virginia University Nike Pro Combat Uniforms Revealed

WVU Basketball Coach Bob Huggins introduces us to the new Nike Pro Combat Uniforms that the West Virginia University Football team will wear November 26th when they take on Pitt in the 103rd Backyard Brawl. Nike wanted to honor the hard working people of West Virginia and specifically the coal miners. In April of 2010 29 miners lost their lives in the Upper Big Branch Mine and the uniforms are used to pay respect to them.

I'm a big Va Tech fan, but I love these West Va uniforms! I also like how West Va paid tribute to the coal minors who lost their lives in that tragic explosion. I know people sometimes take sports too seriously, but sports can also bring you closer together to play for something greater. Great looking uniforms and what they symbolize make them even more special!
