Living Enlightened Master, Acharya Shree Yogeesh, answers the question "What is Hinduism?" The majority of the world believe Hinduism, to be a religion of worship of many gods through many rituals.
According to Acharya Shree, Hinduism being a religion, is a big misconception. He states that Hindu is a culture, but because Indians have integrated religion too much into their culture, its difficult to see the difference.
There are thousands of religions in India, but unfortunately have been termed under the one umbrella of a label, Hinduism.
The truth is, Hindu is associated with culture, and not religion.

Very well and very correct interpretation of hinduism. Hinduism is certainly not a religion in the sense as christianity and Islam are. Within hinduism, there are varied religions/sects and they constantly debate each other as well. The history is full of such debate or 'shastrarthas' . There are written records of such shastrathas that have guided people in many ways. Acharya correctly explains all these.

That's right... Ayurveda is mediine and there is astronomical sutras, vedic mathematics etc etc... which religion has this... spiritual talk is significant and very deep but it encompassed a lot more...

Since people who follow religion can't conceive this idea of way of life, so they refer to sanathana dharma as religion.

Hinduism may be seen as a "way of life", but Hinduism is actually the result of Buddishm being corrupted by the Brahmin religion(which its doctrine is one that has become degenerate) further more Hinduism may be the oldest religion but it is not an Orthodox one.

I have nothing against hinduism, but from what I can tell the root-origins and original form of this "heterodox" religion has been distorted beyond recognition through out an extensive period of time, it's spiritual integrity has been corrupted, it seems quite chaotic and thus there are numerous sects within this religion that continue to contend and debate with each other back and forth which ultimately does no justice or have a positive affect of any kind for the overall of Hinduism itself.

There are Indian religions and MID-EAST religions. The biggest differences are Vegetarian philosophies against Carnivorous habits. Indian religions are not celebrated with MASS killings of Turkeys,Goats, Cows etc etc. The other difference is violent colonising of other people's land against PEACE loving Indians. One is political, while other is genuinely SPIRITUAL.
