This is a Re-Synced / Mixed version of the original April 21, 2011 upload that syncs up the drums properly in the first 2:28 with the added post production fuzz/delay on the bass guitar note at 2:28. The EQ is also a bit brighter. The original upload with all of it's comments can still be viewed at this link:

Never in a MILLION years would I have thought I'd be involved in a Virtual YES collaboration with my brother Dave Geisler plus 2 brothers from Argentina from THIS generation and a vocalist who sounds just like Jon Anderson, performing one of the greatest Yessongs of all time.
I tried to blend both styles of Bill Bruford and Alan White into this one. White in the beginning, Bruford in the middle and White at the end. I must give credit to C for having the rhythmic idea at 2:30 and 4:38.
I took his idea and basically played an Improv/Hybrid version of it with a Bruford slant.
Thanks to Mariano & C for inviting us to play and for doing all the original video editing and mixing.
A lot of uploading and downloading of files and ideas!
This is basically our rendition based somewhat on YES' 35th Anniversary dvd which is a bit slower and more laid back than the Fragile version.

Thankfully we don't have to do this FedEx!!! LOL!

Thank you to everyone for watching and for your support!

-Tom Geisler

  • Love it, love it, love it! And Tom, you out-Bruford Bill himself, wonderful technique to watch.

  • @tentruesummers Thank you very much. Bill Bruford is one of my favorite drummers - but he is truly "One of a Kind".

  • really good- just not loving the keyboard sounds- piano muddy, synths sound like something off Tormato

  • @jwbrown1968 Thanks for the comment. Very interesting about not loving the keyboard sounds. I read somewhere once where Wakeman was always knocked for using the stock "cheezy" sound patches from his equipment. That may be true to some extent, so if that's the case then Mariano did his homework correctly. LOL!

Thanks again - really appreciate it!

  • Great to hear this. Well done guys. There is an out of sync issue of course, but nonetheless, it could be a litte bit faster. I doubt that this is the future of music, but it is better than the alternative, ie nothing!!! The singer is particularly good! Really, we need a real band. But thanks for this, as I love YES

  • @mrjollypantsjolly

There was a sync issue with the first version of this. It's slower because we based it off of the 35th Ann. DVD.

    Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • Tim Wardle should change Benoit David rather than Jon Davison.

  • to tim wardel [sorry if i misspelled your name] sir, you out did benoit david at his own game. congrats sir.

  • Enjoyed the video just like everybody else and hope for new material.

  • Awesome cover dudes, although i miss the Ric 4001 growl...

  • Absolutely fantastic! The next best thing to being in the studio with Yes. Keep it up, guys, and you'll be asked to perform as Yes when the original members (and Benoit David) get too old to walk on stage. :-)

  • Ver, very nice!

  • Without being a geek and just listening for listening's sake, that was a great performance. It is refreshing to hear such fantastic musicians being able to combine their talents so well through this medium.

  • That was fantastic!!!!
