  • Been practicing. It brought back my old trumpet lessons. One thing my teacher had me do was "horse lips." This is like the toneless Bronx cheer sound, just flapping the lips to relax them. It helps as a warm-up/cool-down kind of thing, or just to get the feeling back in your lips if they go south on you during practice. At least it helps me.
