http://www.ted.com David Hanson's robot faces look and act like yours: They recognize and respond to emotion, and make expressions of their own. Here, an "emotional" live demo of the Einstein robot offers a peek at a future where robots truly mimic humans.

TEDTalks is a daily video podcast of the best talks and performances from the TED Conference, where the world's leading thinkers and doers give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes. Featured speakers have included Al Gore on climate change, Philippe Starck on design, Jill Bolte Taylor on observing her own stroke, Nicholas Negroponte on One Laptop per Child, Jane Goodall on chimpanzees, Bill Gates on malaria and mosquitoes, Pattie Maes on the "Sixth Sense" wearable tech, and "Lost" producer JJ Abrams on the allure of mystery. TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design, and TEDTalks cover these topics as well as science, business, development and the arts. Closed captions and translated subtitles in a variety of languages are now available on TED.com, at http://www.ted.com/translate. • He's broken the mystery of how to control robots with mustaches!

  • the kid robot look stewie eyes

  • @ariahughesliebling shutup you hipster

  • Amazing!

  • If to steven spielberg or josh lucas really liked the science and technology they could give 1 milliom US$ to this guy's team and company, I am sure is a money better spent instead of just people who are capable of spending 300,000US$ in such passing vain fancies as shoes with arrays of gold and diamonds. Invest in research is always progress for society.

  • Shouldn't we skip emotion if we're going to give all the robots our crappy jobs?

  • @TroubadourPariahTV

99% would go to pot smoking

  • I wish I could drop a billion dollars in this guy's lap.

  • Did anyone else watch the part of this video about the traffic in Stockholm?
