She didn't phrase the response very well by trailing off into 'cultures'. It's a fair point to say that girls are culturally taught to use their sexuality as a tool, and from an early age, but it doesn't follow that a father accepts it as sexual manipulation. That's where her argument breaks down; unless she thinks all fathers are incestuous pedophiles, which is ludicrous.

I accept her theory to an extent. It IS just a theory but her argument isn't far removed from those of psychodynamics. What they didn't seem to understand was that she wasn't suggesting fathers were INTENTIONALLY teaching their daughters to flirt with their fathers but the flirtatious/suggestive/coy 'are you going to kiss Daddy goodnight?' conditions girls into manipulating men using their sexuality.
