Torturing children is not entertainment

Stein was removing meaning from poetry. Iit's like an abstract modernist poem. Actually it's supposed to be cubist.

uh i dont think you kids understand what gertrude steins peoms ARE. not about, but ARE. what she does is go by the sounds of the works, it doesnt have to make sence, but what you have to do with her peoms is to look past what the word means and look into the sound of it. that is what gertrude aims for.

Funny. Thanks. At least your children sit in one place during the poems. That is better than most.

Ah, you're totally adorable! Cute. But I think you shall read Ida, a novel, by Gertrude. For me... Gertrude Steins poetry feels like a soothing summer breeze. Or massaging the brain with baby oil. For me it's all about the flow, you know. I went there but there were no there there (about Hollywood).
Do you read any other kind of poetry and in that case wich?
Can deeply recommend Baudelaire and Rimbaud, two french giants and Majakovskij, a russian futurist...

If we broadcast readings of Gertrude Stein on loudspeakers at the Mexican border, would we have as many illegal aliens, undocumented workers, etc wanting to come over??

Not surprising. Gertrude Stein was the Professor Irwin Corey of her day. While Ms. Stein is sometimes regarded as a "poetic artist", some might find listening to more than five minutes of her works enough to drive one crazy and shout "Enough! Enough! That's Enough!"
