Gayatri starts on a conveniently lower pitch ... this is therefore cold blooded murder of a classic...her rendition of the opening lines `Jalte hai....' and 'aankhon ke diye' lack a continuous flow and proves that she understands precious little about singing in Hindi.. the syllables of important Hindi words bounce around meaninglessly and there is hardly any sincerity to lyrics, meaning and mood of the song..
