I'm pretty certain Tony got whacked. Otherwise, it would be odd to just cut to black and not have a "happy ending" with Tony sharing a night-out with his whole family. Also, isn't that what sudden death is? Just a black out? You don't see anything or hear anything anymore...You're gone. Thank you, Sopranos, for an awesome, raw, in-depth TV series.

people could have orders the black people to kill them
this happens allot in the real world
mobsters send black people to kill other mobsters because the other mobsters are expecting a white guy to kill them

might as well debate what meadow ate the next day, or what kind of girl his son married. The ONLY thing that dies in this scene is the production schedule of the series. NOBODY dies. The Show has NO ending. It is tantamount to the horrible ending of St. Elsewhere. A director's joke on the audience who have been sucked into a drama far past the point of healthy enjoyment or appreciation.

what the fuck how is this greater than the mystery of JFK's murder this is a fucking T.V show

The only thing certain about the ending is that women cant park.

I think Tony doesnt die. Becouse the New York problem was settled. And the show is not through Tony's eyes there are many other story's that effect other characters that have nothing to do with Tony.
