I speak Spanish and English, the daughter of immigrants, I did not grow up in the ghetto but in an affluent suburb 10 minutes away from Boston. My mother spoke little english her first 6 years here, but now has an english vocabulary larger than many of my American friends and is a professional and my father has his own biz. Spanish is the language of the ghettos? I have been to countries where Spanish is the primary language, and many areas did not look like a ghetto...at all. Granted, some did. However, look at some areas where English is the primary language: Some of them one would classify as "ghetto" I would suppose. Some parts of the Caribbean, for example that I have seen and, yes, the areas in the Caribbean that I went to the people spoke English and not Spanish and were quite ghetto-y as it were.

Since when is Spanish a race? I always thought it was a langugage, spoken by all races, yet all of a sudden, you're racist for pointing out that a lot of cretins in the slums of the US speak no english and just spanish. It would not take long in California to check the veracity of that.
