Newt Gingrich Racist Comments: "Spanish is a language of the ghetto"

The point I'm trying to make is that no matter what the British PEOPLE do, that does not mean that the English LANGUAGE is bad. Just like Korean is not a bad language, just because North Korea is a dictatorship.

Also, you're condemning the Brits for doing something that the Spanish and Portuguese were doing as well, and originally on a far larger scale. The reason Spanish and Portuguese are spoken in Latin America is because the Sp/Port conquerors invaded all of these areas.

@HordeLord13 What I take issue with is not the fact that he's saying children should improve their English. What I take issue with is the fact that he's saying schools should GET RID OF BILINGUAL CLASSES. Learning a second language will help you get a better job, and actually improve your chances of doing well. Especially now, knowing Mandarin or German or French can get you hired in a company.

And if you know anything about American history, you would know that when the pilgrams came, they did not have any good intentions for uniting with the native people; nor, was the english language morally established.
