Wow! Sounds better than a cd!

@cjdguez The recording was analog, but technically the audio codec youtube uses, MPEG-4, is digital.
Since it's re-analoged just before it enters your speakers (since sound waves, and therefore the human ear, are analog), I suppose technically you're listening to an analog version of a digital recording of an analog recording.

@BIKEPRO603 This is technically "digital," now. You should hear it in person.

@VinylToVideo @BIKRPRO603 Technically it's analog. But I agree it sounds a lot better than a vinyl LP. Just an opinion.

@cjdguez How so? Anything in the digital domain, which this surely is, is digital. It's at least AAD.

@VinylToVideo I regret to disagree. Digital sound was not an issue in 1977. Dolby sound does not mean digital. Digital recording means that sound is recorder as a series of discrete signals, which in this case is not true. Sounds on tape at those years were analog signals, recorded on a magnetic tape.
But then, lets not argue and enjoy this great recording. Thanks for sharing.

@cjdguez Well no shit the tape it came from is analog but if this particular recording you're listening to here was not in the digital domain you would not be able to listen to it as the soundtrack to a video on YouTube. You can disagree all you like; you'll still be wrong.
