How to Knit a Baby Hat Part 2

So I am almost done with Paulos hat. I can start decreasing the hat now. I have knitted up to eight inches in the 2 x2 width pattern and for my first decrease round, I am going to knit two, pearl two, knit two and then pearl two together and I am going to take that pattern and knit that in one round.

And now we pearl two together, then we knit two, we pearl two. So I have completed one round. Now my second decrease round the pattern is the following. Knit two, pearl two together, knit two and then pearl one. So I am going to take that pattern and continue it for one whole round.

All right, so I have completed the second decrease round. So the next thing I have to do is start decreasing all the knit stitches. So far I decreased the pearl stitches. Now, I am going to decrease the knit stitches. So I am going to knit two, pearl one, knit two together, pearl one. So did you get the idea? Do you get the pattern of how we are decreasing round after round until we got down to ten stitches? So knit one, knit two, pearl one, knit two together.

So the last thing I have to do is now weave this piece of string into each stitch. And I am just playing it through just like that. Two count in two stitches left. Two one stitch left, look at this hat.

Now I am just going to bring this through and I just want to tie it off. Now, if I want I can put a little pom pom on here and I can make a little pom pom or since this is for a boy I am just going to leave it plain like that and there is the new baby hat. This is the hat that I made for you made out of one of out bunnies you know those bunnies that you go and visit? Isnt it fuzzy? Yes, prove it let me put it on you. Yeah boarder, extreme sports.

wow that is beautiful . the entire process is wonderful.. to make it easier to work in the round. use the Magic Loop method.. not sure if you were or not.. but it makes it SO easy to do hats , socks sleeves.
