I bought this Cadillac and it hadn't run in 15 years. It was missing the carburetor and the previous owner I guess thought that was the problem. Well, the carb was lost by the mechanic over the years. I borrowed one from a 1963 Pontiac parts car I have. Turns out the fuel pump was bad but I got it running in 20 second spurts with a gravity feed. I used a funnel, a hose and filled it with gasoline. It worked until the gas ran out but it was a good way to test a few things. At least I spark, compression and oil pressure and that all the valves were opening and closing.

  • Bruce Springsteen SUCKS, and he's a communist to boot...

  • @Thirdgen83 LOL.. He's not a Communist, he's an American excercising his rights under the Constitution to disagree with a certain group of politicians.. I suppose you'd like to take that right away from people who don't agreed with you.. Well that makes you Al-Qaeda not All-American... Sure, now you want to bash my skull in.. OK good.. You've proven my point..

  • @Thirdgen83 That is funny as hell.

  • Its amazing how these old cars will start right up after being down for years. My uncle was in the business of restoring old cars. I remember he would find a car in a barn or a field that had sat 10 or 20 years and put some fresh gas in the tank and a little in the carb and a nice hot battery and 99% of the time she would start right up.

  • I love the way that these beauties come to life ono more time. She woke up in a second.

  • @gibbletz Runs too lean without the air filter.

  • My carb liked to shoot a 3 ft flame when the air cleaner was off and when the motor was cranked.

  • @ogzsnr the correct term is "IT"S ALIVE"

  • it's a life::D:D
