  • Jerry Hey is one of the most awesome studio trumpeters in the industry's history, I've seen his name on so many of my contemporary jazz records/CD's, it's unbelievable!

I wonder if he ever did a solo project, though? That would definitely be an essential for music collectors.

  • Sorry to say I have to agree...it's ok, but not up to Jerry Hey's normal standards.

  • Quincy Jazz

  • I think what happened was at 00:22 he wanted to do something, realized it wasn't going to work, and had to find a way to work out of it, which he finally did at 00:27.

But as my high school band director used to say, "There are no wrong notes in jazz."

  • haha speaking of jerr hey standards... jerry hey didn't even need to finish his undergrad because he basically began his career before he was done with his undergrad. its a real shame that there aren't more players that are at that level in this day.

  • yeah, Louis Johnson always wow's his listeners

  • Wow.

Keep playing your "November Rain" solo in your bedroom, little boy.

  • whoa look at that bassist doing work in the opening!

  • Hell to the yeah!
