@Bassplayer10005 You should play pick if you like it, regardless of what people say. Fingers sounds good for some music (funk, jazz), pick sounds good for most other music. Personally, I find picking much more difficult so it perplexes me when someone calls you a "faggot" because you play pick. Sigh....society....

Bass, in my own opinion, sounds better without a pick. It's more brutal when playing death metal. I'm a finger picking player and i wouldn't play any other way.
