John Bolton says that if middle easterners want to take control of their own oil that they should just go ahead and do it. Bolton claims that westerners are needed to extract the oil from Iraq because people in the middle east don't know how to do it.

  • Bolton is too smart for the brainwashed lightweight who is interviewing him. Bolton had tried to do so much for Sudan and other areas under genocidal siege by terrorist regimes, but the do-nothing-just-watch-genocide UN would not cooperate. Why do China and Russia have veto power anyway? Let's dissolve the UN! The anti-semites and the reds are running it anyway.

  • LOL, That's why he was a US ambassador to the UN and you're some nobody.

  • THATS A NICE CHALLENGE MR BOLTON. BUT WHY SPEND BILLIONS TRAINING LOCALS WHEN THE CHINESE WILL NO DOUBT DO IT FOR A MUCH BETTER PRICE !

  • bolton needs a kick in the ass

  • @Birutegal ---> It doesn't take much research to determine that Chevron and Exxon Mobil have a serious stake in this Iraqi legislation, through no bid contracts and guaranteed profit agreements. You're right that opponents do not articulate their criticisms as well as they could, but it is also important that the stated USA position on Iraq has to do with everything BUT oil. On the UN, one has to wonder about making strides within it, as opposed to trashing it. All choices, with consequences.

  • In June 2008, the Iraqi Oil Ministry announced ... no-bid contracts to Exxon Mobil, Shell, Total and BP... along with Chevron and smaller firms to service Iraq’s largest fields. ...[U]nder the presidency of Saddam Hussein, [Iraq] gave production share agreements (PSAs) to Russian and Chinese companies.... The Bush administration hired [a] consulting firm ...to help write the law [, which] would authorise production share agreements (PSAs) [for USA and British oil companies]. Source: Wikipedia.

  • IRAQ NEVER WAS A BASE FOR TERRORISM , THEN BOLTON SAYS WE ARE NOT GOING TO DETERMINE THE COUNTRY THEY HAVE GOING FORWARD! ..YOU SHOULDNT BE THERE AT ALL MR BOLTON YOU NAZI , .AND MR BOLTON SAYS WHY DONT THEY GET THE OIL ON THEIR OWN I DONT THINK AMERICA HAS ALL THE WORLDS OIL DRILLING EXPERTS AND WHY DONT HE CALL OFF THE AMERICAN COMPANIES TO SEE WHO STEPS FORWARD MR BOLTON TALKS FLUENT BULLSHIT ..PERIOD WITH A BIG DOSE OF SELF DELUSION AND BAD MANNERS ,BACKED BY ARROGANCE...

  • Gotta love the media where a utter moron who should be making smarmy remarks while flipping burgers is allowed to comment to the nation on things he has absolutely no understanding of. But its changing...the old media will be dead soon and a good thing too.

  • Brilliant, I agree. Check out John Pilger dealing to Bolton its poetry.

  • Bolton handled himself brilliantly in the face of some very dumb questioning.
