Three monotheistic religions? What? The WHOLE point of Christmas is bringing into the world the Third member of the Trinity. This line by Twal was unfortunately repeated by the international press. In fact, worshipping Jesus is the main objection by the TWO Monotheistic religions. I submit a statement like that is to water down the Faith in order to be politically correct. Shame on you all. This spoiled a rather timely sermon on the family and anti-abortion.

@zamyrabyrd good point. But 'shame on you all' is a bit generalized isn't it? It wasn't 'us all' who gave the homily but the Patriarch.

Christianity is Monotheistic. There is one God the Father. Read almost any one of the several books written by Vladimir Lossky for a very good understanding of the Doctrine of the Holy Trinity. Have a Blessed Nativity.

@videocustodiae This is not the first time "monotheistic" has been bandied around by Church spokesmen. No one caught the mistake, but only repeated it. One would think experts in the Catholic faith would not let it pass so easily.
